Graduation Day, May 22, 1999, was a beautiful sunny day filled with emotion and pride. Just two weeks prior to this special day I met my partner Davut, who traveled all the way from Pennsylvania. It was through the skills and wisdom of the instructors at Guide Dogs for the Blind, that we have become the awesome team that we are. I saw Mary Jo, one of my raisers, she gave me so many hugs and kisses and said how noble and dignified I looked. Pete was not able to be here because he had to go to Korea, but I knew where his heart was.
