Donna

Graduation day, December 11, 1999, was as always, a very emotional but rewarding day at GDB in San Rafael.  The weather was most spectacular, clear blue skies, about 63 degrees, and no wind.  My brother Drypheus and I were part of the last graduating class (No. 600!) of the 20th Century at GDB! I'm the petite one on the right!
I am now a guide for Edward, a 70 year old gentleman living on the "Gold Coast" in Northern Chicago, Illinois.

Ed is totally blind in one eye (Glaucoma) and nearing total blindness in the other eye (still sees some shapes but cannot read any longer).  I am Ed's first guide dog.

I definitely recognized my raisers when they came to visit me at graduation -- when I first saw them I got really excited and started jumping up and down like a kangaroo!  It was such great fun to visit with my raiser family and introduce them to my new partner, Ed.

Graduation was a fun and momentous day - my raisers told me that I looked great and that they were very proud of me! Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside!

Well, off to work I go with Ed! As I learn new things about my new environment, I'll make sure my raisers update my web page! See ya' soon!

I am retired now.  On April 29, 2002, I returned to the home of my puppy raisers.  I will enjoy my retirement in sunny southern California with my good buddy Holly!  As you can see I am the one on the right taking it easy.

I moved to Florida with my raiser family in July of 2004.  After much loving care, I gave up my fight with cancer on June 10, 2005.
